1015-Basil-screening-room-for-carter.

This second week of Land of Excess will be devoted to the private screening room in suburban Washington D.C. structures. We can’t help pointing out that the private screening room solves many of the little problems encountered in entertaining guests, such as having conversations with them, looking at them, and feigning interest in them. Anyhow, this week we will explore the conventions of screening room design as well as the formal aspects of their depiction in commercial real estate photos. First off, we return to the building in McLean, VA that was featured yesterday as a sober example of entry hall design.
