For a change of pace, tonight Land of Excess brings you a photo by our founder taken in 2007 of a house (built in 1925) at 9400 Georgetown Pike, in Great Falls, VA. At that time the house was already unoccupied and would shortly be torn down. In summers, the porch would be outfitted with hanging flower pots, and there would often be people sitting out there.

Something so right. And very beautifully preserved.
